Survey and Valuation
Sorrell's Survey Valuation and Professional Department offers a wide range of surveys and valuations dependent on our customer's specific needs. Led by Roy Hilton, his team undertakes a full range of building surveying services including residential and commercial valuations, comprehensive and detailed building surveys, supervision of building works, repairs and renovations and Party Wall Act notices. Sorrell is experienced in Conservation Area buildings and grant applications and we gladly provide general advice on all building matters.
Commercial Agency
Sorrell is experienced in selling and letting all types of commercial property, from unusual properties such as redundant churches, beach shelters, kiosks and grazing land, to the more traditional retail outlets and office space. Tony Plummer's team focuses on commercial disposal and acquisition, including investments and development sites. Our clients include property owners, occupiers, investors and developers and we offer high quality professional advice throughout the commercial property marketplace.
Property Management
Residential and Commercial Property Management has been a core element of the Sorrell Partnership since its foundation in 1919. Sorrell have managed a number of properties for over 70 years, and clients include property companies, family trusts and private individuals.
The Property Management Department has expanded from its original South East Essex domain (an area our first rent collectors could cover on their bicycles) and now covers the country from East Anglia to the West Country, including London and the South Coast. We were one of the first estate agents to operate an Estate Computer System (ECS) which ensures we manage clients' properties efficiently and professionally. Our property management instructions range from prestigious high-street premises to single-shop units, blocks of flats to single houses.
Residential Lettings
We are active in Residential Lettings covering Southend and adjacent areas and can offer either a let only service or full management by our Property Management Department. We handle the whole procedure from marketing to referencing of tenants and preparation of Schedules of condition through to completion of Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreements. We are happy to advise on rental values and make recommendations on improvements to increase the letting prospect for residential properties. Our service is available to Landlords with single properties as well as those with large portfolios.
Commercial Valuation/ Landlord and Tenant Department
We provide a wide range of property services for commercial and leisure premises. For landlords and tenants we can assist with rent review or lease renewal to help clients achieve their objectives. We also deal with schedules of dilapidation and condition, business rate appeals, valuations and market appraisals. Clients include the major banks and local authorities as well as private individuals.
